Care of Your Emeralds
Please know that emeralds are the softest of the four “precious” gemstones and are, therefore, susceptible to damage if not worn and cared for properly. This is especially so with rings in which stones can easily be chipped or even lost with abuse. Emeralds are also adversely affected by a variety of chemical components in ordinary products we use every day and even by constant submersion in water. We highly recommend that you remove emerald rings when performing tasks such as doing the dishes. To maintain your emerald jewelry in beautiful condition, we recommend that you take it to a reputable jewelry store to have it professionally cleaned on a yearly basis. Care for your emeralds, and they will give you pleasure for many years.
Shipping Policy: Continental United States
Shipping and Insurance are included with purchases within the continental United States. In-stock items that don’t require any customization will typically ship within 1 to 3 business days of purchasing depending upon order volume. We will always do our best to accommodate rush timing! You will be notified by email upon the issuing of the shipping label and the tracking number. FEDEX is our shipper of choice and 3 day delivery is the standard means of shipping.
Shipping Policy: International, Alaska, Hawaii and US Territories
Customers will be billed for shipping and insurance on orders from outside the continental United States. All orders will be charged at standard shipping rates. The recipient is responsible for all import duties and taxes that may be levied by local governments.
We want you to be completely happy with your order and will gladly accept return requests of unworn, undamaged or defective products within 7 days of delivery of merchandise.
To facilitate your return please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone, to notify us of your intentions. To avoid confusion and unnecessary expense, if you are making a claim of a defective product please include photos that clearly justify such a claim. You will be able to return the item, if it meets the criteria listed above, by simply sending it to the return shipping address included in the documentation received with your shipment. If 7 days have elapsed since receiving your purchase, and you have failed to contact us about a return or exchange, unfortunately we cannot offer you this service.
Outgoing shipping and insurance are included with your purchase. Unless an item is provably defective upon receipt, customers are responsible for return shipping, handling and insurance costs, which will not be reimbursed. You must use our designated shipping service (FEDEX) and purchase shipping insurance. We are unable to guarantee the receipt of your returned item without proof of shipment using a tracking number. Please inform us of the shipping date and tracking number.
If in fact your product is provably defective or damaged in shipping upon receipt,The Emerald Company will pay return shipping and insurance. Once the problem is verified via clear and definitive photos, a URL will be sent to you that will allow you to print a return shipping label. You will only be responsible for any packaging costs incurred.
Upon receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), applicable refund of payment (excluding shipping, handling and insurance cost) will be issued if the items are in the original, salable condition and original packaging.
We accept refunds and exchanges on non-customized items purchased. Items modified or designed to a customers’ specifications (including sizing) are considered a final sale. All special orders are considered a final sale. No returns will be accepted without a receipt. Deposits on custom orders are non-refundable but may be converted to credit within 7 days.

Receipt of Refund
Once your returned order has been received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or other original method of payment.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, please first check your bank account again, then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at email@example.com, at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone. We will get on it immediately to trace the problem.
When you order a custom-made ring, necklace, bracelet or earrings from the Emerald Company you can expect a meticulously designed and handcrafted piece of jewelry. You'll be able to select the materials that you desire, from gold karat and color to gemstone variety, size and shape.
Custom orders include ring sizing, orders for designs that appear on this website but are out of stock at the moment and any designs that differ from those shown on this website. IN THE CASE OF ORDERS FOR RINGS, BE SURE TO LET US KNOW YOUR RING SIZE WHEN ORDERING! This will allow us to resize existing rings, if possible, if we don’t have your size in stock. There would be no charge in that case. If that isn’t possible, however, because the size difference is too great, all we can do is offer to make you a custom ring in the style you wish, according to the terms for custom orders as they appear in this section.
Upon placement of your custom order, a deposit of 50% of the total purchase price is required. The balance will be charged upon shipment of your jewelry. Please note that all custom orders are nonrefundable and nonreturnable.
All customized pieces may take less than, but up to, 8 weeks to produce depending on the details and availability of desired stones.
For any sizings or repairs needed for our jewelry, we strongly suggest that you contact us prior to working with your local jeweler. While we trust and respect their skill level, should anything go wrong with a repair performed by another jeweler on Emerald Company jewelry, we are not liable for covering the cost associated with repairing the problem.
Resetting or replacing of emeralds is the most likely problem you will confront. Be advised that it requires a highly professional gem setter to do the job effectively as emeralds are the most fragile and difficult to set of the precious gem stones.
We would be happy to have our jewelers in the United States make guaranteed repairs for you, if necessary. If you prefer to go that route, your piece of jewelry will have to be returned to us so an estimate can be made for the required work. You will be responsible for shipping and insurance both ways. Once you approve the estimate, the work will be completed within the time frame specified.
Only regular priced items may be refunded. All discounted items are considered a final sale unless proven to be defective or damaged in shipping.
If you wish to return an item that was designated as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, and provided it meets the criteria for returns as stated above, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t designated as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to them to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver.
